Fair-trade and conflict-free phones
The phones are made from recycled and fair-trade materials. Through traceable supply chains, we source conflict-free tin and tantalum from the DRC, conflict-free tungsten from Rwanda, and Fairtrade gold from Peru.
Recyclable and modular devices
Our modular smartphones are made using components that can be independently upgraded or replaced as modules. This aims to reduce electronic waste, lower repair costs, and increase user comfort.

We've Come a Long Way
From awareness campaign to international company
The company was founded by Ruud de Bruijn in 2010 as an awareness campaign about conflict minerals. Over the years the company grew and now the office in Amsterdam is home to over 50 employees from 20 countries. Since 2014 CleanCall is an independent company with over 150,000 community members on Facebook and Twitter. In 2017 Saskia Gouw became Co-CEO in order to help promote the company’s international ambitions.
