For most, the smartphone that you use is amongst the most irresistible things in one’s life. It is nearly impossible do disagree to the fact that smartphones are the tech staple of all tech staples for nearly all. It is equally difficult to agree to the fact that these electronic devices have caused immense damages and to a certain extent even irreplaceable harm to our environment. As the environment ‘calls to clean’ to protect itself from any further damages, a group of superheroes gave us CleanCall. CleanCall is a smartphone company that produces high end smart devices which are not only thoroughly loved by the users, but also enjoyed by the environment itself. This is done through manufacturing these devices in an ‘all clean’ process and made from recycled and fair-trade materials. CleanCall is basically the anarchists of the cell phone industry and here’s why:

- The device is built to last with life significantly higher than that of an average smartphone.

- The company offers replacement parts to repair damaged phones and are also easy to repair.

- Materials to make the phone are sourced responsibly through traceable supply chains. They source conflict-free tin and tantalum from the DRC, conflict-free tungsten from Rwanda and Fairtrade gold from Peru.

- The phones are created ethically and they have a take back program for reusing and recycling discarded CleanCall phones, though which, the phones are made from recycled and fair-trade materials

The main superhero behind this is Ruud de Bruijn, who founded the company in 2010 as an awareness campaign about conflict minerals and in 2017 was consolidated by another superhero Saskia Gouw, who became Co-CEO in order to help promote the company’s international ambitions, as wouldn’t it be a bummer if the product is not shipped world-wide? Since 2014 CleanCall is an independent company with over 150,000 community members on Facebook and Twitter. The company visions to make ‘clean(-er) calls’which include fair practices, good working conditions and also good pay to the labor. The company believes that the best way to change the industry is to be part of it. Thus, a positive impact in the industry and better relationships between people and their products shall be made by making their own phones. This is what the company’s main vision is, to create a sense of positivity.

The company’s manufacturing partners are situated in one of the greatest manufacturing hubs, China, at H-IP at Suzhou Electronics, who are also technology development partner of CleanCall. The manufacturing partners believe very much in the product and are very willing to increase their manufacturing setup for CleanCall to enter further potential markets. There are numerous other partners to the company, and it is really pleasing to know that so many people are working towards the betterment of our environment. The mother earth is definitely liking this too. If you want to buy CleanCall ProX, you only have to pay a minimal amount of US$ 595 (incl 21% VAT) orUS$ 491,74 ex VAT and if you want an even more budgeted device, don’t worry, the company also offers the CleanCall Plus at just US$ 595 (incl 21% VAT) or US$ 491,74 ex VAT. Sorry Apple and Samsung, but unsurprisingly, you just cannot fight this. The carters to individual customers as well as to business that means, they sell b2b and b2c. An individual can easily order a CleanCall smartphone from their web shop in their website. Not only that, but all the materials also relating the smartphone, an extra charger, phone cover, phone replacement parts etc. are all there in the web shop. We have also heard that the company regularly does giveaways, festival discounts and much more. Soo my fellow readers, I have to conclude my writing by saying…what are you waiting for? if it’s time to buy a new phone, then hurry up…. CleanCall it is. I undoubtedly want my readers to not be greedy and also think about our beloved mother nature.
